Having been set on their quest by the steely Mrs Slayde, the party follow the kobolds to the nearby village, where, they find everything to be unusually usual. Styx makes a wager, Tarquin becomes a hero, Lumpkin tries to climb a stool, and Ruth becomes suspicious of a trio of cloaked figures who may be more than they say they are
